Nowadays, despite the increasing requirements of customers and employees, it may be helpful to use not only new technologies understood as modern machines on production lines, devices for performing treatments, but also mobile applications available for smartphones that we all use. Mobile applications do not have to be used only for entertainment purposes, nowadays more and more small, medium and large enterprises use mobile applications to facilitate their work and create relationships with customers. Creating your own application is often associated with very high costs, which cannot be afforded by enterprises from the SME sector, and low efficiency. The most common disadvantage of such an application is also the lack of integration with other systems, which now gives a competitive advantage. There are many types of software on the mobile application market that can be used for a subscription that allows you to modify a given program to the required preferences of the company. Mobile applications are becoming the basic tool that facilitates not only business management, but also customer relationship management
Mateusz Kiciński Adam Depta Iwona Staniec Copyright (c) 2023-07-31 2023-07-31 2 5 16 10.34658/jmc.2023.1.2.5-16 Wykorzystanie mediów społecznościowych w procesie budowania marki pracodawcy https://eczasopisma.p.lodz.pl/JMC/article/view/556
The currently observed changes in the environment of enterprises have contributed to the increased interest in the employer brand and the methodology of its creation, as well as the modernization of the solutions used by companies in this area of management. It was largely forced by the COVID-19 pandemic but its specificity meant that many employees and employers would like to maintain it, at least partially, also after the pandemic. Some employees still perceive it as a kind of privilege and help in fulfilling family duties. Others associate it with the pandemic and a ban on leaving the apartment without a clear need. The assessment of remote work is therefore subjective, depending on the profession and qualifications of the employee performing it, his family and health situation and even his place of residence. The opinions of employees on this matter have become the subject of various studies, including the author's own research. These studies show that there is a high demand for this form of work but not in a full-time system. Most respondents would like to work from home 2-3 days a week. This is a phenomenon on such scale that there is a need to regulate quickly the rules on remote work. This will probably happen in the near future, as the draft provisions amending the Labor Code have already been submitted to the Sejm.
Ilona Penc-Pietrzak Copyright (c) 2023-07-31 2023-07-31 2 41 65 10.34658/jmc.2023.1.2.41-65 Academic burnout among higher education students https://eczasopisma.p.lodz.pl/JMC/article/view/558
Transformation of modern societies is allowing people to live fast, smart, technology-driven lives. In workplace, it brings flexibility and news business forms. Organizations are dynamic structures, so their pursuit of adaptation and problem solving is constant. At the same time, prolonged job-related availability may eventually result in resentment, reduced satisfaction in performance and exhaustion. Industrial-organizational psychology methods focus on solving such problems and improving quality of life in the workplace. Quality of life is a multidimensional concept [1] that comprises both positive and negative evaluations of life aspects. When applied to a workplace, quality of life can be perceived as work environment that promotes health and security, job satisfaction [2] and professional and personal development. On the other hand, work environment generating excessive stress and leading to long-term emotional, mental and physical exhaustion leads to burnout. Burnout ‘reflects an uneasy relationship between people and their work’ [3a, p. 44] and it is definitely an ultimately real and chronic problem nowadays. While burnout is a serious issue for both organizations and individuals [4], and has been widely studied [3b], it has not been focus of much academic attention in the university context yet. The aim of this paper is, therefore, to examine academic burnout among higher education students in Poland. For the purpose of the study, the Burnout Clinical Subtype Questionnaire – Students Survey was applied on-line for students registered at Polish universities. The survey consists of 12 items in form of statements related to three dimensions of burnout: overload, neglect and lack of development. The paper is also aimed to understand whether university students experienced burnout in any of its dimensions and whether the perception of burnout depended on student professional activity, distance from family home or failed courses.
Iwona Staniec Aleksandra Hanczka Nina Szczygieł Copyright (c) 2023-07-31 2023-07-31 2 67 85 10.34658/jmc.2023.1.2.67-85 Projekt narzędzia usprawniającego proces kontroli niezgodności w zakładzie produkcyjnym https://eczasopisma.p.lodz.pl/JMC/article/view/559
Conducting an analysis of processes in terms of nonconformities enables the enterprise to continuously improve. Construction of a tool in the scope of elimination of nonconformities enabling control over the implementation of preventive actions and data acquisition is, therefore, a necessary action. In literature, there is a lack of examples showing practical use of Ishikawa, Pareto-Lorenz, or FMEA methods and tools created on their basis in production plants in order to improve the control process. The aim of the presented considerations is to analyse the process of controlling nonconformities in a studied production plant, to indicate the causes generating the largest number of registered nonconformities, and to design a tool allowing to improve a given process and minimize the occurrence of defects. For this purpose, the possibilities of implementing the Ishikawa, Pareto-Lorenz, and FMEA methods are presented.
Weronika Jasiaczyk Iwona Staniec Adam Depta Copyright (c) 2023-07-31 2023-07-31 2 87 103 10.34658/jmc.2023.1.2.87-103
