Designing of nonwovens fibrous products designed for schock absorbing layers

Abstract

As the results of dissertation it has been developed a nonwovens fibrous materiał with spatial structure, designed for schock absorbing layers in impact protectors used in sports protective equipment. In this materiał, it was used the pro-eco coir rich in lignin and the binding agent - the water dispersion of ethylvinyl acetate copolymer with porogenic addition.
The developed materiał has been registered at the Polish Patent Office in 2005 as the invention project no. P-374168. The measuring of damping ability of the tested samples was carried out with the use of newly designed test stand of Drop Tower type. An innovatory method of damping ability estimation with use of pressure sensors Pressurex Film was also proposed. The procedure f testing includes the possibility of comparing the test results with selected criteria approved in biomechanics literature to define the level of human injury tolerance.
