Design of optimal structures of fibre composites using evolution and hybrid algorithms

Abstract

The dissertation is devoted to the problem of optimal design of twodimensional structures made of fibre-reinforced composite materials subjected to service loading. The problem of optima! design of fibre shape or orientation and fibre density in the composite so that the structure should satisfy assumed requirements in the range of materiał mechanical properties is discussed. The hybrid optimisation algorithm, consists of a sequence of evolution and gradient-oriented procedures, is applied during design process.
