Abstract
The new technology of jersey weft-knitted fabrics manufactured from intermediate spinning products was elaborated. Innovation of this technology consist in substituting a traditional raw materiał feeding knitting machines - yam - for raw materiał which hadn't been used before, namely roving. The constructions solutions of drawing apparatus, concordant with opentop machines, enabling, aim at decrease of linear density, slimming of fibre assembly before a knitting zone was undertaking. Correlation between technological parameters and structure of new knitted fabrics' group was appointed. Based on elaborated geometrical knitting process model, where drawing of roving occurs, the effect of knitting zone setting parameters on technological process and knitting fabrics properties was analyzed. The comparative analysis of structural and end-use properties of new kind of knitted fabrics and their traditional analogs was conducted.
