Abstract

In the contemporary competitive business the organisation’s success is defined by the organisation’s network and its position in this network. The aim of the paper is to analyse the influence of individual managerial time orientation, on efficient and effective creation of network organisations. Developing and maintaining the network requires deep commitment made by organization usually in the early stage of involvement. In the paper it was discussed that short time oriented managers, who grasp the opportunities in short time perspective, show little inclination towards risk and sacrifice. This phenomenon can create a major barrier for them to join the network and all the more to form one. Only the companies with an above average relational capabilities developed in long time perspective can become a network architect or integrator.
