Abstract

In the article the problems of relations between immediate supervisors and employees were presented. On the base of the results of the field empirical researches employees’ opinions and expectations related to their formal and informal relations with immediate managers in 2010-2012 years were described and analysed. The special attention was paid to perceived possibilities of gaining managers’ support in the professional and private affairs and to the forms of communication between immediate supervisors and employees. In the next part of this article the features which the model manager should have were analysed. Respondents’ expectations in this scope showed many problems what confirmed existing the big relation gap sharing immediate managers and employees.
